Doc Pop
Doctor Popular (Doc Pop) is a San Francisco-based yo-yo player, artist, musician, and writer, known for pioneering styles including Moebius, Washing Machine, and Alpha style, as well as tricks such as the Gyroscopic Flop and the Schmoove Groove response system. He played for Team Anti-Yo and has had multiple signature yo-yos over the years, including the Super Scientist, Hesitator, Bolt, and Populist.
In 2006, Doc co-founded a yo-yo company called Yes, Absolutely with Phil Cox, releasing their first throw, The End. His current brand, Doc Pop Toys & Games, sells yo-yos (including the Bolt and The Populist — their first bi-metal), counterweights, enamel pins, and comics through doctorpopular.com. He also helped form the skill toy club College for the Easily Amused.
