The Hesitator was an ultra-limited run of hand-assembled yo-yos produced by Doctor Popular in 2007, using Spintastics Eclipse bodies as the base. Unlike the brass-ringed stock Eclipse, Doc Pop used aluminum weight rings, making each unit lighter. From 55 units started, approximately 40 were completed and sold; 15 were discarded.
Each Hesitator was individually hand-painted by Doc Pop using nail polish, ink, spray paint, Sharpies, glitter, and even McFlurry lids. The interior features flames spelling out “HESITATOR.” All units were numbered and signed, and included custom pog artwork. The name originated from customers requesting “hesitator” yo-yos.
