The Populist is Doctor Popular’s first bi-metal yo-yo — a 7075 aluminum body with interchangeable brass or steel weight rings, produced in partnership with Dressel Designs. The design was developed collaboratively with Doc Pop’s Patreon community before being refined for production.
A prototype “Moon Rock White” was offered exclusively to Patreon beta sponsors, followed by a general release in multiple colorways. A Superblack Patreon-exclusive edition features black steel rings and black anodize at a reduced price point. Available with polished brass or raw/polished steel rings depending on colorway.
