Twisted Stringz
Twisted Stringz is a Seattle-based handmade yo-yo string company founded around 2011 by a player known in the community as “Jenn.” Dissatisfied with the string options available on the market, she began crafting premium polyester strings by hand, quickly earning a reputation for quality, playability, and meticulous order fulfillment. Her strings became known for breaking in quickly, maintaining long string life, and excelling at slacks, whips, and performance in low-light settings.
Beyond strings, Twisted Stringz made a significant mark on the hardware side with the Trifecta bearing — a 10-ball Size C bearing with a dual-curved inner groove that combined KonKave-style centering with a deep recessed channel. Introduced around 2012, it became a widely adopted upgrade bearing in the unresponsive play community.
The brand expanded into collaborations, producing a limited run with Zeekio on the Aftermath Apocalypse and a glow edition of the Spintastics Tornado. The original handmade string operation appears to have largely wound down around 2020–2021, with Zeekio now handling distribution of remaining products.
