About the SB-4
The SB-4 is a collaboration between Tom Kuhn and Chico Yo-Yo Company, released in 2014 as a continuation of the historic Tom Kuhn SB series. An inverse-round aluminum monometal, it ships configured for bind play but includes a shorter axle and thinner bearing for conversion to tug-responsive play — bridging fixed-axle heritage and modern unresponsive competition performance. The SB-4 represents CYYC’s only confirmed collaboration with another manufacturer.
