Chico Yo-Yo Company
Chico Yo-Yo Company (CYYC) was founded in April 2009 by Thad Winzenz, Richy Nye, and Bob Malowney in Chico, California — the historic home of the US National Yo-Yo Contest and the National Yo-Yo Museum. The company produced all of its throws locally using Pro2Pro Machining Services in Chico, releasing a series of precision-machined aluminum yo-yos built for competition and serious play. CYYC’s sponsored team included Mike Marshall, Sam Ungerer, Zac Rubino, and Nate Dailey, each of whom received signature models. The brand went dormant around 2017 after approximately two dozen releases; their products are now treated as a museum collection by the yo-yo community.
