Monsoon

From YoYoExpert:

“Dressel Designs takes on the oversized concept with their latest creation, the Monsoon. Serious in performance yet full of playful character, this yo-yo captures the fun of dancing in the rain while delivering the power and control of a true storm.

Inspired by the classic A-RT 420, the Monsoon brings a fresh approach to oversized yo-yos. Instead of following the trend of making the throw wider they have decided to push the envelope with the diameter instead. Despite its 63mm diameter, it plays incredibly light and fast on the string, weighing in at just 63.9 grams. The result is a yo-yo that feels nimble and effortless, offering a big presence without the sluggish feel often associated with oversized models.

Each Monsoon features the incredible artwork of Aspen Troutman, adding a personal and artistic touch to every throw. Available in a range of stunning colorways, each Monsoon (except the unengraved Silver with Dark Gray Splash) features a smooth bead-blasted finish for clean grinds and a premium feel. “

Musubi

From Dressel Designs:

“Introducing Musubi: a signature model for Bachi that takes inspiration from the YYR acrophobia and a unique take on plastic aesthetics on performance monometals.

From Bachi:

Musubi is an AL/PC design with a double rim and PC sandwiched in between the rims. Musubi is also one of my favorite snacks, the sandwiched plastic in the rim reminded me of them, and I wanted to make a colorway inspired by it.

Last year Patrick and I started talking about details for this yoyo, sharing my favorite yoyo designs and what characteristics I enjoy. I wanted something fun that didn’t lack power for my favorite tricks. We went through different CAD drawings and added things I originally didn’t think about at the time. The 1st prototype was a hit! It was perfect from the start and didn’t want to change the way it felt. It has a soft, bouncy feel on string with ‘float’ in all the right areas and time. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do!”

Musubi SS

From Dressel Designs:

“Musubi SS. A steel cut signature yoyo for Bachi.

SS has more pronounced speed and power than the regular Musubi while being a smaller diameter.”

Omertà

From True Arc:

“Omertà is a 7075 aluminum and brass bi-metal built to feel powerful, stable, and deliberate on the string, while still keeping the clean and intentional design language I wanted for this release.

Thanks to everyone who has followed this project so far. Looking forward to seeing what people think once it lands in players’ hands.”

The Crucible

From One Drop:

“JT Nickel joined the One Drop player’s team in 2013. It has been our honor to have him with us for the last 13 years and going forward. He’s an amazing and passionate yo-yoer with an encyclopedic knowledge of tricks.

In 2016, we released his first signature yo-yo, The Top Deck, which has become a classic that stands the test of time.

https://onedropyoyos.com/yoyos/top-deck

As good as the Top Deck is, we all felt it was time for JT to get a new signature yo-yo. We thought it would be the Top Deck Gen 2, but as it turned out, it was different enough to be considered a brand new throw. Here is how JT describes the design process:

“When David and Shawn asked me to start brainstorming ideas for a Top Deck Gen 2, I had absolutely no vision for which direction to go. I wanted to ‘modernize’ the old design but only had surface level improvements such as ‘wider’ and ‘more organic.’ What really got the ball moving was the goal of using many subtle design choices from previous models across One Drop’s history and applying them to a wider Top Deck. Then came the big crossroads: side effects or no side effects? Upon making the decision to design new side effects and adjusting the profile to make the yoyo light but powerful, it became clear we were not making Top Deck Gen 2, but something totally new by comparison. Enter The Crucible, a yoyo built on the interaction of different design elements leading to the creation of something new. 7068 alloy, brand new side effect design, all while incorporating numerous designs and lessons from One Drop’s many models over the years. My lovely wife Marie created the box art and engravings, making this a very special project for me involving many of the most important people in my life. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”

This is our first 7068 aluminum alloy yo-yo and it’s shipping with a brand new Side Effect called “The JT”.”
