About
The Hyper Wheels is a yo-yo manufactured by Duncan and released in Japan by Bandai in April 1997 as part of the Hyper Yo-Yo line. It is based on Duncan’s Wheels model — a butterfly-shaped yo-yo with distinctive tire-shaped hubcap-style weight pogs on each side. The pogs add significant rim weight, giving the Hyper Wheels notably longer sleep times than the lighter Hyper Papillon or Hyper Neo. It was marketed toward players wanting to learn string-based tricks such as Trapeze, and remains one of the heavier fixed-axle models in the Gen 1 lineup.
