Buzz-On Element X

There have been a number of Element X’s released over the years, all with various specs.

Element X Beta

Element X

The standard Element X started out with a non-SPR body, moving to using the SPR’s flush on the yoyo’s body but by 2006 Buzz-On began recessing the SPR kit. Original Element X sold for $25. Recessed editions sold for $28.99

Element X Dyed Versions

Buzz-On offered the option to dye your Element X, or Bushido. They originally offered three options: Streaked, Polka Dot and Radial. Later these versions were called “Dave’s Daily Dyes.” Dave Bazan would custom dye yoyos, each release was unique. Using the Wayback Machine, it appears that 14 of these custom dyed yoyos were sold. If you have one of these please let us know, we’d love photos!

Element X Playa Edition

The Playa featured a recessed large bearing SPR axle system. Like most of the Element X line, colors varied widely. Very many combinations of body color, weight ring color, and logo color. First released at BAC on May 7, 2005. These sold for $29.99.

Element X Remix Edition

The Remix was the first Buzz-On model to feature their SPR axle system with a medium sized bearing. Like most of the Element X line, colors varied widely. Very many combinations of body color, weight ring color, and logo color. Pictured here is a Marbled Yellow Brown Remix. These sold for $28.99

Element X Chop Shop Edition

The Chop Shop edition was a limited run “Back to Basics” Element X, designed for customizing. Gone was the SPR axle system, and the original bearing design was used. It was recessed for pads, and notched in the recess to add silicon response. With custom logo, this release was limited to only 48 pieces.

Element X Pro

Released in 2004, the Pro Edition was a limited, 200 yoyo, release. It had a wider string gap. Used SPR Large Bearing kit and a C-sized Dif-E-Yo Konkave bearing. Originally sold for $40.
