Centrifugal

From Motion:

“Our second installment – Centrifugal (motion). Continuing off of the success of our flagship yoyo, Perpetual (motion), we have stayed true to what we said we would do: never compromise aesthetics for performance, and vice versa.

In designing this yoyo we decided that “less is more.” We wanted a very smooth body with minimal cuts. From each angle you will be able to see the calculated and distinct cuts we wanted on this yoyo.

We aren’t the first, or only company to use a dome in the cup, but we feel like this is a design aspect that truly catches your eye. Lastly something very unique to our yoyo is, once again, the rims. The large W shape has a very pronounced inverted M shape on the outer surface, which not only strengthens the SS rim and helps to keep from bending, but it also retains a “slimmer” feel in the hand without compromising any of the weight used to push on the outermost part of the yoyo.

We really think through each design to not only appeal to serious players, but to also give a timeless piece you could display on your shelf.

This is Motion.”

Harmonic

From Motion:

“Say hello to Harmonic (motion)

The motion lineup is strong, very strong. The market has had a lot of organics over the past couple of years. We decided to wait and make sure we got it right. Our motto is not to release anything unless it improves the game: Harmonic does this.

On first throw, you will notice that harmonic feels like throwing air, but the weight is there – you just don’t feel it. It makes a beautiful sound befitting its name. A hollow bonging sound will play while you use this yoyo.

As you run through tricks, you will be surprised by the stability and spin power of Harmonic. The things that usually slow down an organic yoyo slow down Harmonic less. The undercut near the bearing, and the cuts along the slope going out toward the rim, all help to reduce string drag and the effects of the high wall design.

The aethetics of this yoyo are unbelievable. The light dances off the surface similar to Accelerated, but the cup has gentle slopes to remind you that this yoyo is for relaxing and enjoying your day.

Like all motion designs, the yoyo is lighter than average. The 55mm diameter is comfortable and accomodating of any size hand. “

Perpetual

From Motion:

“Talk to me about design and play?

The crossroads where aesthetics meet functional performance. The main things I wanted to focus on were power and stability, and we nailed it.

The design shares a V/H hybrid shape that is typically reserved for more “performance oriented” yo-yos. The rounded rim design is there for a mixture of performance, aesthetics, and most of all, comfort. The YoYo is full sized and fits very nicely in your hand.

Visually the cuts and angles are meant to attract your eye from each and every angle, no matter in play or sitting on your shelf you will constantly be drawn to the design.

The unique rim design holds power on the spin. You can feel the power in every throw. Perpetual is nimble and agile enough to change direction with ease. The binds are tight and crisp, and each time the YoYo comes up into your palm you feel the momentum that was still there, realizing you could have extended the trick longer.

Being full sized, Perpetual still retains a “more narrow” design to be able to move through intricate and tighter tricks with ease. The full size also helps maintain power and momentum when you are maneuvering through each toss and trapeze.

Try one for yourself, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Heron

From MK1

“The Heron is a collaboration between Mk1 Yoyos and yoyofriends, combining the design aspects and skills of both companies. Its primary features are a polycarbonate outer ring, softening the overall feel and play, and an aggressive lock-in fingerspin hub. The addition of steel weight rings pushes up the performance, resulting in a stunning all-rounder that you can take on stage or to your local yoyo club.”

Laze

From MK1:

“Jack Hudspath’s latest signature yoyo, the Laze is a comfortable yoyo designed to take you to your relaxed space.”
