About the Dark Magic
The Dark Magic was designed specifically for André Boulay’s ring grind techniques, featuring an aluminum rim with an inner lip ideal for thumb grinds. Its wide gap and generous catch zone made it forgiving enough for beginners while performing at a competitive level — a combination that made it YoYoExpert’s flagship learning tool for years. The 2004 and 2005 US National Champions won their titles using this model.
