The FAY is yoyorecreation’s accessible entry point — an oversized V-shape plastic with removable side caps that allow the response system to be swapped between responsive and unresponsive configurations. Beginner players can start with responsive play and transition to full unresponsive at their own pace without needing a second yo-yo. A NC Empire × SPINNS collaboration edition in ivory colorway with pop-art side cap graphics was released in 2018. A Kumame-branded colorway edition also exists.
