Element X Dyed Versions
Buzz-On offered the option to dye your Element X, or Bushido. They originally offered three options: Streaked, Polka Dot and Radial. Later these versions were called “Dave’s Daily Dyes.” Dave Bazan would custom dye yoyos, each release was unique. Using the Wayback Machine, it appears that 14 of these custom dyed yoyos were sold. If you have one of these please let us know, we’d love photos!
The Buzz-On Blaze is a version of the Element X, with rubber weight rings. The Blaze uses a small-bearing SPR. Dave’s Skill Toys had a signature series Blaze in blue. Several editions were made during it’s run. Original price was $18.99.
The Bootleg was Buzz-On’s first release. The yo-yo used the Spintastic Tiger Shark’s body. They then added aluminum weight rings, a new bearing seat with a larger bearing. It had a hybrid response system with starbursts and friction pads. They were released in translucent red, blue, glow and black along with two different logos.
