Throw-Yo Threads

Throw-Yo is a boutique yo-yo string brand run by Berv Throwington. Every string is handmade: blended, wound, and cut by hand. The product scope is narrow on purpose. Strings, counterweights, and stickers. That’s it.

The catalog is organized into four families: Comfort, Performance, Responsive, and Specials. Each one named from a taxonomy of chemistry, nature, and process. Vapor. Detergent. Pollen. Ink. Names that earn their place or don’t make it in.

Counterweights are poured from recycled plastisol in five shapes: Skull, Fruiting Body, Grey Matter, Corvid, and Plaquette.

Once a year, Berv’s wife walks into the thread room and picks. No brief. No spec. Whatever she wants. Berv winds it. Whatever comes out gets her name. It’s called the Baroness Blend.
