Eternal Throw
Eternal Throw was conceived on the drive home from the 2011 National Yo-Yo Contest by Chad Sage and Free Hinton — two Seattle-area fathers who had been throwing daily for more than a decade. Based in Seattle, WA, the brand built its identity around community: performing at Seattle Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, local children’s museums, and Boeing. Free Hinton maintained close ties with Rain City Skills, producing a co-branded beginner throw and fueling the brand’s youth-outreach mission.
Eternal Throw released infrequently — roughly one model every year or two — but each product was distinctive. The Victory was machined by One Drop and shipped with their Side Effect axle system. The Elysian placed 1st and 2nd at the 2014 Canadian Nationals before its public release. By their final era the brand had produced five models across six years. The YoYoExpert collection went dark circa 2019 with no formal closure announced.
