Phalanx is a wide-body full-metal yo-yo from YOYO Laboratory. Rewind describes the aim as an easy, quirk-free feel: widening a body alone loses stability and adding weight blindly makes the feel harsh, so the shape was calculated to be broadly acceptable. The design includes involvement from Mr. Usuno (薄野), who studies yo-yo mechanics, and is described as a collaboration between YOYO Laboratory and yo-yo mechanics; every dimension was derived by calculation for the intended feel. It is shipped with a replacement titanium axle.
