3YO3
3YO3 is an artisan yo-yo brand founded in 2009 by Landon Balk of Clearwater, Florida — a mechanical engineering graduate who had been hand-machining yo-yos on a manual lathe since 2004. Named after the Roland TB-303 Bass Line synthesizer, the brand became known for using unconventional materials including acrylic, Delrin, Teflon, aluminum, and titanium, most machined by hand. The brand won back-to-back WYYC Mod Contest titles (3rd in 2010 with the Hourglass, 1st in 2011 with the Grind King) and built a dedicated collector following. All 19 known models are discontinued; the last confirmed release was the Bassline 2 in June 2014.
