The Hour Glass is the most unusual product in the 3YO3 catalog — a functional hourglass built into a yo-yo body. Sand travels through a hollow thick axle from one half of the yo-yo to the other as it spins, creating a visible and measurable timing effect. Each unit takes approximately 3.5 hours of handwork to produce, the most labor-intensive model in the lineup. Two sand types are included: coarse blue sand (default) and fine brown sand for a different flow rate. The Hour Glass earned 3rd place at the 2010 WYYC Mod Contest and is the rarest and most expensive acrylic model at $174.99 USD.
