The MetalHead is the first co-branded yo-yo from the Rain City Skills × Throws N’ Brews collaboration, released November 11, 2019 at $50 USD. Described as the most performance-oriented yo-yo since Rain City’s Hipster Highlife, it is big, powerful, and stable, with a rounded hub profile designed for fingerspins. Every unit shipped with Rain City thick string, custom engraved guitar picks in .5mm and .6mm, and one of 16 random LEGO-compatible musician minifigures — themed to the musical identity of both the MetalHead name and Tom Velto’s guitar-player persona. Four colorways were released: Black as Death, Blood Red, Glam Metal Fade, and a Half Swap (Red/Black).
