Beast was a Double-Take Industries metal yo-yo from Mike Montgomery’s early company era. Mike used it in public trick videos and demonstrations during 2010–2011, and contemporary discussion confirms that production examples reached players by April 2011.
The first documented prototype suffered severe vibration and wobble. A later production version added an outer-rim groove that reduced vibration while also changing the rim weight. Exact production specifications, alloy, colorways, price, bearing, response, and axle have not been recovered.
