The Fat Cat is Tom Kuhn’s most substantial aluminum yo-yo, heavier than the Tom Cat for longer spin times. Inspired by a jazz motif (“The FAT ONE”), it uses the same adjustable gap system and Turbo Disc response as the SB-2, in a butterfly profile. Vacuum-machined from aircraft aluminum to a hand-polished mirror finish. Every unit is individually numbered and dated, limited to 500 per production run.
A 2024 edition (Fat Cat Unresponsive / “Fat Cat +”) added a Size C bearing option for unresponsive play. Weight is configurable via rubber weight rings (59.53–68.04g depending on configuration).
