My current EDC. Really really good but it’s overshadowed by the new Milder, which lends itself to being a bit more maneuverable, which, by extension, makes the Milder more pleasant (for me). The added width of the new Milder also tends to make it a bit better suited for modern play.

This yoyo has some similarities in design philosophy to the Grasshopper 2.0, though the Mild doesn’t feel as dense and is slightly more maneuverable than the Grasshopper 2.

As for the Mild on its own; there’s a reason I like using it as my EDC.

The Mild has the tendency to make other yoyos feel very maneuverable and fast because of how slow it moves. The Mild definitely leans into that power-over-speed design philosophy, but it luckily doesn’t fall into the pitfall that some other yoyos in this category can fall into where it also is an incredibly fatiguing and heavy feeling in play. The Mild moves slowly, but it doesn’t do so the same way other yoyos of this archetype do by sucking the energy out of the yoyoer, it’s not dragging on the movements of the player. Going fast with this yoyo is a no-go, but you’re free to do what you want for just about everything else. The controllability and stability of this yoyo make it incredibly easy to chill with, practice with, hang out with, etc. The Mild is more than capable of busting bangers, it can absolutely tear through zontal combos and generally isn’t as restrictive with zoning as well. I don’t know… this yoyo is just really good for just about everything aside from going fast. If it was just a bit more naturally quick-paced I’d place it higher but overall it’s still good.

The rim interface is sus though, I’ve had to re-set the rims a couple times, though every time I do the yoyo becomes perfectly smooth… so, idk?

Binds are a bit slippy, even with Shore 30 pads.

The Mild is unrestricted comfort. Easy to reach for; easy to play with.
