Released in 1991, the Yomega Raider was the first consumer yo-yo to use a micro ball bearing, enabling longer spin times and more consistent looping performance than any previous design. With its narrow gap and starburst response, the Raider became the standard looping yo-yo for serious 2A players and was used by multiple world champions including Jennifer Baybrook and Shinji Saito. The Raider’s design has remained largely unchanged, a testament to how well it was conceived from the start.
