The Alpha Wing is a fixed-axle yo-yo with a butterfly profile, notable as Yomega’s first fixed-axle design in many years at its 2015 release. Fixed-axle play requires different technique than bearing designs — stall tricks, regenerations, and old-school body tricks that depend on friction rather than free-spinning. The polycarbonate body and starburst response system suit both casual play and serious fixed-axle practice, and the butterfly profile accommodates string tricks not possible on a classic barrel-shape fixed axle.
