The Baldwin is TMBR’s smaller-diameter butterfly model, offering a different feel from the larger Irving and Fremont. Its profile includes an interior step that makes it particularly well-suited to stall techniques and regenerations. Distinctive “Dado Cap” inlays on the faces serve both a decorative and functional purpose — they provide a visual indicator of spin speed for stall timing.
The original (2012–2013) used a fixed wooden axle. A 2015 redesign introduced the Woodthread Axle System, allowing reversibility between butterfly and imperial configurations and gap adjustment. The model continued in production with periodic restock announcements through approximately 2020.
