About the Callisto
Released December 12, 2023, the Callisto is a collaboration between Thesis Yoyos and The Good Life Yo-Yos, named for Jupiter’s moon (Greek: “most beautiful”). The collab blends Thesis’s design sensibility with Good Life’s performance approach: “light, floaty feel for slack tricks and stable, powerful performance for rail combos.” Design drew inspiration from Good Life’s Gulch and Thesis’s Da Capo. Uses 7068 aluminum for the body — a step up from the 6061 standard across both brands’ catalogs — paired with stainless steel rings for enhanced stability. Marketed as “a moonshot collaboration” and “a premium throw for everyone,” representing a deliberate departure from Thesis’s previous competition-focused direction toward versatility.
