The Surveillance is the second mowl release (2017) and the signature model of Daiki Tanaka. Developed as a direct counterpoint to the monometal M, it features an angular H-profile incorporating straight-shape elements — optimized for Tanaka’s signature horizontal and grinding tricks. At 66.6 grams it is one of the heavier bimetals of its era, but the power and stability at even the lowest spin is remarkable. The stainless steel rims provide serious rim weighting and precision. The artwork features an all-seeing eye motif and a side profile of mowl’s spirit animal engraved on the side. Daiki Tanaka used it to take 2nd place at the 2017 44Festival and 6th place at the 2017 Asia Pacific contest. Has been reissued in multiple colorways and remains in the lineup.
