Released as part of Bandai’s Super Yo-Yo product line — a regional localization of the Chousoku Spinner (Super Yo-Yo) anime — the Super Russell was the entry-level junior model in the series. It featured a rounded body with clear sidecaps over printed character pog inserts, and a removable wooden axle held in place by two rubber washers. The sharp gap edges made it unsuitable for sleeping or string tricks. Distributed across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia in multiple character colorways from the anime.
