The Stardust was the first yo-yo ever produced by 44re:creation (later renamed yoyorecreation), released in 2008 by founder Kengo Kido. The first production run used a titanium-threaded axle to prevent stripping — an issue that had plagued the initial batch and was corrected before wide release. A second run included a licensed KonKave bearing. Compact at 52mm and light at 65g, it established the brand’s preference for precision over spectacle.
