History / About
The Fast Eddy Shooter was produced by Russell for “Fast Eddy” Eddy McDonald, a Canadian yo-yo performer and founder of Touch the Sky Inc. It used the Imperial/looper body shape with glitter plastic and was regarded by contemporary reviewers as one of Russell’s better-performing looping yo-yos. The face carried text reading “The ‘Fast Eddy’ Shooter / Fast Eddy McDonald / RUSSELL,” with the reverse reading “Touch the Sky Inc.” Available in red and clear sparkle colorways, it retailed for approximately $7–$10 USD. An example is held at The Strong National Museum of Play (Object ID: 108.2943).
