Released in 1999 as part of Russell’s expanded lineup following the Team High Performance (THP) partnership, the Ellipse reintroduced the slimline shape after the bulge-faced profile had dominated Russell’s output for roughly twenty years. The Ellipse mold also served as the base for the Millennium (glitter), Master (red glitter / silver caps), and Galaxy (gold glitter / gold caps) prize variants released in the same period. A documented Ireland release featured clear gold-colored Ellipse-based Galaxy and Master variants.
