The POM Draupnir launched the YoYoRecreation AE sub-brand in June 2017, alongside the announcement that AE would deliver cutting-edge designs at more moderate price points than the main YYR line. The model takes the Draupnir’s exact shape and outer stainless steel rim construction but replaces the 7075 aluminum body with POM (polyoxymethylene/Delrin) — a denser engineering plastic that produces a distinct feel under the fingers and a weight profile very close to the aluminum version. A Full Black limited edition was available exclusively through the official store.
