Usually yoyofriends have less cuts and simplistic lines, however we challenged ourselves this time to have multiple cuts on the yoyo design. This brings out a new kind of aesthetic in our lineup. We named the yoyo shortcut because we believe this yoyo is a shortcut to a higher level of yoyoing for people due to its price, performance and good old fashioned yoyofriends quality. A perfect path to our higher end offerings and showcase what yoyofriends are capable of to all players.”
“We continue to explore, and master the design and usage of different types of materials. Establishing a foundation for us for our future releases with more options on materials. We choose the SS Koi to be our first ever full stainless steel yoyo. Stainless steel has a very high density, surpassing aluminum and even titanium. Making a full stainless steel yoyo requires very thin walls and very precise manufacturing. We decided to utilize the design of Koi for its organic shape and its use case even when it’s slightly undersized due to the nature of stainless steel.
SS KOI yoyo became our first ever D-bearing yoyo. The D bearing is smaller than the standard C bearing, increasing the power and spin speed of the yoyo, which solidifies the performance of the SS koi and our performance-driven culture. SS Koi feels powerful, stable, yet flowy, organic and undersized, perfectly blending performance, fun, and specialty.”
“The name Raytracer is based on a computer graphics rendering technique which simulates the physics of light to produce images with precision and accuracy. To make raytacing work, it takes an immense amount of speed and power. This name perfectly fits this yo-yo, stable and fast, landing tricks with both precision and accuracy. Fully utilizing the 7068 material and stainless steel rims, they were able to put weight exactly where it was needed the utmost precision to achieve the best possible performance.”
