Spin-A-Bell

Spin-A-Bell Folio 1297

Overview

The Spin-A-Bell is the most unique and rarest of all Goody yo-yos, and the only model in the lineup not primarily made of wood. It consists of two concave stamped steel bell halves riveted together through a central wooden sleeve. A thick metal rod passes through the rivet with both ends bent outward; when the yo-yo is thrown and caught, the rod strikes a bump inside each bell, producing a distinctive chiming sound. The flared bell shape makes basic string tricks somewhat easier than standard round profiles. The silver/chrome metal construction is topped with a small Goody label at center. It does not appear in Lucky’s Guide’s standard numbering. A Spin-A-Bell sold for $370 (yo-yos.net).
