Overview
The Atomic Filipino Twirler was likely named to capitalize on the post-WWII atomic age enthusiasm of the late 1940s and early 1950s. It is characterized by bold contrasting two-tone paint — each half of the yo-yo painted a different vivid color — with yellow/purple as the most commonly documented colorway. The Atomic carries no rhinestones, distinguishing it from the jeweled models in Goody’s lineup. It is one of the harder-to-find Goody models; a single example has sold for $820 (yo-yos.net).
