The Fragment is the signature of Ryosuke Iwasawa, known in the Japanese competitive community as the “laceration master” for his extensive use of whip and laceration elements. The inverse-round profile and compact diameter were chosen to maximize string interaction speed. The Size D bearing — shared with the CLASHcube — is one of only a handful of YYR models to deviate from the standard Size C spec. The Uragment (2013) is a variant of the Fragment prototype, featuring a flattened straight rim where the Fragment has a curved one.
