“True Arc was started in November of 2023. It initially started as a way to combine two of my hobbies, yoyo’s and CAD design. I never initially thought of pursing manufacturing however seeing how the barrier to entry for new companies has become much lower thanks to places like FPM I though I would give it a shot! Yoyo’s have been an on and off again hobby for me since the early 2010’s, and with the design of Chroma Slate I wanted to capture some of that early unresponsive feel in a modern design. Being my first product I wanted to also show how simplicity in design can translate into performance and aesthetic appeal. The Chroma Slate is meant to embody that philosophy, focusing on clean lines, balanced weight distribution, and a finish that highlights the elegance of the shape. When it comes to True Arc’s approach for this initial offering, we emphasize minimalism and functionality. I believe that a product should speak for itself, without unnecessary embellishments or gimmicks. This approach influences not only the yoyo designs but also the brand’s overall presentation. For materials and production, I work closely with a manufacturer to ensure quality and consistency. Each prototype undergoes rigorous testing, and adjustments are made based on feedback from trusted players and my own testing. My goal is to produce a yoyo that feels like an extension of the player’s hand, and provide an experience that may differ from other products on the market.”
