Holgate Toy Company was a wooden toy maker in Kane, Pennsylvania, with woodworking roots going back to 1789 and toy production from 1929. The YoYo Wiki lists yo-yos in eight shapes: Triangle, Square, Octagon, Heptagon, Flower, Shamrock, Star and Heart. A patent catalog lists four Holgate design patents, so the claim that all eight shapes were patented is unverified. Its current status is unknown.
