History / About
The Ja-Ru Rainbow YoYo Jacks toy combined yo-yo and jacks in one toy. A transparent yo-yo housed a colorful jacks set; unscrewing the halves gave access to the jacks and ball stored inside. Released in 1999 with an original retail price of $3 USD, according to the Yo-Yo Museum, which also records a fixed axle and starburst response. Ja-Ru, Inc. was founded in 1961 by Bernard Selevan in Jacksonville, Florida, and named for his sons Jack and Russell.
