Not Machine is Aroundsquare’s first-ever yoyo, released in August 2026. Aroundsquare is best known as a maker of begleri and other minimalist skill toys; after years of customers asking when the brand would make a yoyo, founder Matthew Hiebert concluded the real appeal was never high-performance modern throws but the wooden yoyos of childhood — a category almost nobody makes anymore. Not Machine is light, compact, and generously rounded, shaped for comfort in the hand rather than technical trick performance, with wood’s natural weight, warmth, and texture standing in for the precision-machined feel of a modern throw.
