Aroundsquare

Aroundsquare Ltd. was incorporated in 2008 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The company is primarily known as a maker of minimalist skill toys and EDC (everyday-carry) gear, and is a foundational figure in modern begleri — they co-produced the widely-viewed 2016 film “2 Beads 1 String” and founded the Single Grip Open (2016) and Sling Slam (2019) begleri freestyle contests. Founder credit goes to Matthew Hiebert per independent trade-press interviews (not stated on the brand’s own About page). In August 2026 Aroundsquare released its first-ever yo-yo, “Not Machine,” a nostalgic fixed-axle wooden throw pitched as a casual EDC item rather than a competitive performance yoyo.
