The La’Grange is the second yo-yo in Lathed Back Design’s mini modular titanium line and the direct successor to the Bangarang. The brand describes it as “the brainchild of a fighter jet and a swiss army knife” — an aerodynamically-tuned, hardened competition platform in a pocket-friendly package. Like the Bangarang, the La’Grange uses a modular rim system: a Delrin competition rim set expands the core to 53mm diameter and 63g total weight, while a Delrin looping rim set yields a 52mm diameter and 59g total for 0A and looping play configurations.
All accessories are cross-compatible with the Bangarang modular system. The La’Grange performs best with thin string for 1A unresponsive play; thick string is recommended for looping configurations. As with all Lathed Back Design products, each colorway was produced in limited runs with in-house anodizing, and Artist’s Proof editions feature unique 1-of-1 or short-run custom finishes.
Colorways
Retail colorways included Solar Flare, Berry Magma, Neutron Berry, and Unicorn Puke (via YoYoSam and YoYoExpert). YoYoTricks carried Disco Lemonfade, Flamingo Fade, and Misty Rainbow. Artist’s Proof and short-run editions included Cthulhu’s Madness (1 of 2), Modders Mayhem! (1 of 1), Cobalt Chaos (1 of 2), Subject 42, 86, and Cloud Chaser.
