The Speed Russell occupied the elementary tier of Bandai’s Super Yo-Yo line, one step above the Auto-Return model. It also used a disableable auto-return clutch system similar to the Yomega Brain, but was constructed with slightly higher quality materials. Its winged shape was designed for beginner to intermediate players discovering the hobby through the Chousoku Spinner anime. Distributed across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia in anime character colorways.
