The Sleipnir is yoyorecreation’s defining model, carrying the signature of Shinya Kido — multiple World 1A Champion and brother of company founder Kengo Kido. Named for Odin’s eight-legged horse in Norse mythology, the Sleipnir introduced a step-straight profile that became influential across the industry. Its 57mm diameter and 65g weight established a benchmark for competition feel that persisted for years.
The design was revisited in 2014 with rounded step edges and updated engravings. Limited editions include a Christopher Chia signature run and an undersized gold edition at 66% of standard size. The Sleipnir remains in production and is widely considered one of the most important yo-yos in modern competitive history.
