Dale Oliver
Dale Oliver is the 1992 World Yo-Yo Champion, one of only four American Yo-Yo Association National Grand Masters, and founder of Spintastics — widely credited as a father of freestyle yo-yoing. He entered his first contest in his hometown of Kansas City at age 12, turned pro for Duncan at 17 in 1957, and set fixed-axle spin-duration world records in 1976 (45 seconds) and 1978 (51 seconds). In 1991 he set a fastest-spinning yo-yo world record at over 14,300 RPM on a Tom Kuhn SB-2. He founded Oliver’s Toys in 1989 to develop his Yo-Yo Fun and the Science of Spin school program, then co-founded Spintastics Skill Toys with Valerie Krantz in 1996. He was inducted into the AYYA Hall of Fame in 2005.
