Wooden Crossed Flags Tournament

Folio 1195

About

The Wooden Crossed Flags Tournament is the last wooden yo-yo in Duncan’s production history, originally manufactured from 1960 to 1965 in such quantities that new-old-stock was still being sold into the early 1970s. Its design traces directly to Duncan’s pre-plastic tournament models of the 1930s–1950s, and the crossed flags graphic on the face was a symbol of the national competition circuit Duncan ran through the mid-20th century. The current reproduction is packaged in a clear display box with a facsimile of the original 1955 Duncan Trick Book, making it both a functional yo-yo and a collectible piece of American toy history.
