The Vacation is the second bimetal from Recess, released in 2016 as a companion to the Weekend. Where the Weekend had a soft, controlled playfeel, the Vacation has a harder, more crisp character with an emphasis on speed and power. The stainless steel rings are fitted seamlessly at the very outer rim for maximum rim weighting. A stepped H-profile provides a comfortable hand feel, the outer lip enables thumb grinds, and the cup is fingerspin-ready. Recess positioned the Weekend and Vacation as intentional counterpoints to each other — both capable, but approaching performance differently so players could understand their own preferences by comparison.
