About the Murmur
The Murmur arrived in early 2018 as Unspoken Project’s most accessible release to date. Following the competition-oriented Apollo, the goal for the Murmur was a yoyo that felt balanced and free-flowing, easier on the wallet, and suited to relaxed daily play rather than stage performance.
The design adopts an organic profile — a domed hub with a subtle border, smooth catch zone, and gently curved wall — that gives the Murmur a pleasant, nimble character on the string. At 54.20mm diameter and 63.2g, it sits in familiar mid-size territory. The faceted rim detail (seen later echoed in the 2Sick x Unspoken Decoy collaboration) adds visual distinctiveness to the otherwise clean silhouette.
The Murmur rewards a controlled, deliberate touch; its organic profile means it will tip off-axis if thrown carelessly. Multiple colorway runs were produced, and a later restock run featured a collaboration with YoYoFactory.
