Tomo (とも, Japanese for “friend/buddy”) is the sole yo-yo model ever released by ikimono, launched in August 2024 as the brand’s first product after more than a year of prototyping. It’s an undersized W-shape/inverted monometal in 7075 aluminum with machined acrylic accent rings, marketed as a comforting, casual everyday throw rather than a competition design. Ikimono followed the standard release with a limited engraved collaboration edition and a discounted “b-grade” batch of cosmetic seconds in September 2024, both of which sold out. The brand has since gone on hiatus and its website is offline.
