History / About
According to Throw Spiral (via YoYoExpert and YoYoSam), the Kappa was designed to challenge conventional wisdom about organic profiles and the role of rim weight. It combines comfortable organic rims with a low-friction V-shaped inner profile, with stability from an aggressive weight distribution in 7068 aluminum balanced by a modest 64.3 g weight. YoYoSam released it in May 2021 with exclusive colorways (Galaxy Blasted with Spiral-Chan art, Olive Blasted with Kapp character art), a Matt Doyle Edition (glossy, white engraving) and an Adrian Esteban Edition (matte, Phenakistoscope engraving by Drew Tetz). YoYoExpert began carrying it in June 2021. Designed in the USA, made in China.
